We ARE having a great time together...and there are times when I find that I don't think I have laughed this much, over heaven's knows what, since I was in high school. I also don't think that I have ever seen two boys eat as much as they ate today....and on only $20 combined! The boys were quick to inform the girls that they were the "spent the least-got the most" contest, while the girls were gloating over their healthier-more green shopping decisions. Walmart was like Disney World today!
The show, set up and strike is getting slicker every performance. The venues have been great and we have left Little Lamby's brothers with the various organizations that we have performed for----as thank yous. I resemble the 3 curbs an hour remark! It really isn't quite that bad, however every time I do nudge up against(...gently .....)a curb, all the boys' packing reassembles itself and the clatter makes more noise than the actual slight bump deserves. Also, I don't think that it is fair that our first motel had to be in the middle of a construction zone with those silly cones narrowing an already narrow two lane street...no cones down...but my nerves were frizzled.
We had a contest filling up the van with gas. John-Emmett was the manly man who braved the cold windy rain to fill up the thirsty van who refused to fill. Our guesses for a full tank started at 18 gallons...but we had to keep changing our votes as the tank nearly reached 30! After that, Reed and John-Emmett's appetites didn't look quite as voracious.
We are lucky enough to stay in Aberdeen for a second day. The kids are sleeping in and then studying. If their work gets to a point where they feel they have accomplished enough, we may go to Story Land....a place that Reed thinks he would like to live. It is supposed to have a Wizard of Oz section and Alissa and Emily would like to see it. Reed just wants to live there, sight unseen and John-Emmett is wisely waiting to make such a judgement on the park. We will be leaving VERY early Wednesday morning for Rapid City...a 5 hour 3 minute journey, will check into our motel and then go to Central High School to set up and run the chase before the 7p.m. show. THAT will be a very full day.

I am so jealous of Mrs. Wooley! I wish I were there to laugh with you all! If the van holds 30 gallons, how much do the boys hold? If you go to Story Land, don't leave Reed. You need to all live happily ever after ... together! Nancy
